Area of Round Duct
To determine the sq inches (area) of a duct or circle, use the following formula
Area = Pi(r2)
Example.... Area = (radius x radius) x 3.14
4" pipe the radius is 2" = (2 x 2) x 3.14 = 12.5 sq inches
